Dates:          July 3-5, 2019 starting Wednesday evening and ending Friday afternoon

Theme:        Remember You're Golden, Be Better, Better, Better

Fees:            There will be a $3 per person charge over 1 year of age. Please give this to Barrie or Jan at the reunion in an 

                       envelope with your name on it.

Parking:      Many/most parking spaces in Springdale are now metered @ about $20/day. Last year there was no metered                          parking at the gazebo, but it is limited. Carpool when/where possible. The shuttle is a great option. If family                              members are staying somewhere in town, you might co-ordinate with parking where they are staying.

  • Wear a shirt, ribbon, tie, or something that is yellow or golden to "Remember You're Golden"

  • If you have a Smith family missionary currently serving, bring something for us to sign. Please have it available both nights. We'd love to send him/her our love.

7 PM: Program & Activity

    • Need coordinator for this activity and 3 helpers​

    • Bring or wear water appropriate clothes and a towel. If you definitely do not want to get wet, now is the time to leave.

6:30 AM: Family Hike with Barrie & Sebrings, The Watchman

  • This 3.5 mile lollipop loop, climbs 500 feet to a rocky bench on the east side of Zion Canyon. 1-2 hours. Return when you would like. Meet between main visitor's center at the south entrance and the shuttle bus departure to go into the park. Bring water, hat, sunscreen, etc. and snack if you need one.

BREAKFAST AND LUNCH IS ON YOUR OWN

9:00 AM: City of Springdale parade

11:00 - 1:00 PM: Tube the river

  • Bring your own tubes or rent them. Meet at the designated place shared during the Wednesday program.

    • Need two volunteers​ to organize this activity

1:00-3:00 PM:  River Fun by the campground

  • We plan to put up the canopy on the sunny side of the river. Bring lunch, river shoes, water toys, camp chairs, drinking water, sunscreen and a smile. 

4:30-5:30 PM:  City Park Gazebo

  • Rochelle J. is in charge. 

  • Parents, please be there to assist your children.

  • Rock drawing craft. Positive thoughts/inspiration/kindness rocks to make and leave around the parks. 

5:00 PM:  Dinner Prep

  • Barrie and Jan family in charge.

    • Need 6 volunteers to help set-up, cook and clean

  • Big fire for roasting and grills

  • Put out letters to missionaries

  • Bring picture pages

6:00 PM:  Dinner

  • All American Dinner

  • Wear an American shirt. "God Bless the USA" evening.

7:00 PM:  Program

8:00-10:00 AM:  Sand dunes at Sand Hollow State Park, Hurricane

  • Sand Hollow State park, about 40 minutes from Springdale. Entry fee is $15 per car OR $10 if you have a senior. Carpool where possible.

10:00-2:00 PM:  Swim and play at Cotton Tree Cove group area Sand Hollow State Park

  • We hope to have this shady area reserved, but we cannot reserve it yet.

  • We are bringing water toys, and three 5 gallon water coolers. If you want, bring a kayak, paddle board, water toy. You can also rent these items at "The Bash" 

  • Bathrooms and electricity across the street and water at the entrance. If you have a way to blow up water toys without electricity (foot pump or car), please bring.

4 PM:  Start of Durfey Reunion

  • EVERYONE: Be ready to help Ryan and LeeAnn
